IHRDA actively engages in advocacy actions with major actors and stakeholders to push for States’ compliance with decisions of African regional human rights mechanisms, in order to ensure that victims/survivors of human rights violations effectively enjoy remedy and redress recommended or ordered by regional human rights mechanisms. We also work on legal, policy and institutional reforms, ratification of human rights legal instruments and compliance with various international human rights obligations.
IHRDA also actively engages with Regional Economic Communities and the African Union policy organs for follow up on implementation of decisions, as well as on reforms of the African human rights institutional and normative system.
