Omar is an ICT professional with over a decade of experience in ICT infrastructure across public and private sector environments. He specializes in enterprise-level ICT solutions, systems administration, and technical leadership, and has contributed to ICT governance through the development of ICT policies and operational manuals that strengthen organizational systems and procedures.
He holds a Higher National Diploma in Information Management Systems from Microteach Institute of Multimedia & Technology (MIMUT), a Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Gambia Technical Training Institute (GTTI) and is a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), certified at Quantum Net Institute of Technology. Omar previously led Software, Hardware, and Networking teams at Quantum Net Technical Service Center and completed an internship at the National Water and Electricity Company (NAWEC) in the Gambia. He also provides technical training in Smart Access Control Systems and introductory networking at the University of Applied Science, Engineering and Technology (USET), the Gambia, under World Bank–supported programs.
