Julia Draper Harrington-Reddy

Julia Harrington Reddyhas an AB in Social Studies and a JD in law from Harvard University.  She began her career working as a fellow with the Secretariat of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights.  In 1998, with Alpha Fall she co-founded the Institute for Human Rights and Development in Africa, which provides pro bono legal services and training for litigation before African human rights treaty bodies.   Later, she worked with the Open Society Foundations for over 15 years, specializing in the rights of minorities and marginalized groups with respect to citizenship and documentation of identity; discrimination in policing, education, and religious dress; and rights of migrants. 

She is now Executive Director of MicroSoleil, an international agroecology organization that supports small farmers to adopt regenerative farming practices.
