Dennis is a communication and advocacy professional with a background in broadcast journalism from the Multimedia University of Kenya. He brings over seven years of experience in storytelling, content production, and strategic advocacy to advance human rights, particularly children’s rights, across Africa.
Dennis previously served as Communications Officer at the Eastern Africa Child Rights Network and the Civil Society Forum on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (CSO Forum), where he led strategic communications efforts to elevate children’s rights issues in the region.
In his earlier role, Dennis served as the Head of Production and Projects at Mtoto News, where he led the production of child-friendly multimedia content that advanced awareness and accountability on children’s rights in Kenya and beyond.
Dennis has also consulted with Save the Children International (Global and Multi-Country Programs), leading content gathering in Somalia and South Sudan for a project focused on advancing the Vancouver Principles. The project focused on strengthening child protection in peacekeeping contexts and preventing the recruitment and use of children by armed forces and armed groups (CAAFAG).
