Alieu is a financial expert with a robust academic and professional foundation in accounting and auditing. He holds a BSc in Accountancy from the University of the Gambia and an ACCA Diploma from the Grace Institute of Accountants in the Gambia.

Throughout his career, Alieu has held key leadership roles across diverse sectors. He notably served as the Finance Manager at InSIST Net (INET), where he oversaw strategic financial operations. His expertise in compliance and risk management was further honed during his tenure as a Senior Auditor at the global firm PKF International. Additionally, Alieu contributed his specialized skills to the public sector as the Audit Manager for the Gambia Printing and Publishing Corporation (GPPC), ensuring institutional integrity and fiscal accountability.
