On 23 October 2025, IHRDA hosted its Annual Networking Reception on the margins of the 85th Ordinary Session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights. Bringing together partners, advocates, Commissioners, state representatives, and friends of the human rights movement, the reception created a warm and dynamic space for meaningful exchange beyond the formal sessions.

This annual event is a moment to reconnect with long-standing partners, welcome new allies into our community, and reflect on the collective journey toward justice, accountability, and stronger protection of rights across the continent. More than a networking event, it was a reaffirmation of our shared purpose: to strengthen the African human rights system and ensure it delivers real impact for individuals and communities.
