Aisling Kenny is an aspiring human rights advocate from Ireland. She has an LLM in International Law and International Relations from the University of Bristol, a BSc in Sociology and European Law from the University of Amsterdam, and a Minor in International Relations from Sophia University, Tokyo.

She has previously held positions at the Human Rights Implementation Centre and Bristol Law Clinic. At the Human Rights Implementation Centre, she worked as a Research Intern, conducting pro bono legal research for international human rights organisations. At Bristol Law Clinic, she worked as a Student Advisor, providing pro bono legal aid to clients who would not otherwise have access to support.

She has a special interest in the rights of stateless persons, refugees, and displaced populations. Her LLM drew on her social science background to analyse how different categories of displacement and geographical contexts interact with international legal frameworks.

Her BSc thesis identified media discourses that shape public perceptions of Syrian versus Ukrainian refugees, and analysed the nexus between dehumanisation, securitisation and EU migration policies in producing differential migration experiences and outcomes.
