The Network of African National Human Rights Institutions (NANHRI) has published a fact-sheet on the engagement of NHRIs with the African Court and the African Commission. The fact-sheet shows NHRIs are not versed with the Court and its jurisdiction.

The results of an internal survey with NHRIs in the 7 Member States that have deposited the Art 34 (6) declaration indicate that much information is not reaching NHRIs. The survey includes action proposals, highlighting the need for the establishment of a focal person for NHRIs at the Court.
