On 25 Aug 2016, IHRDA and local partners in Burundi filed a case against Burundi before the ACHPR addressing extrajudicial killings, forced disappearances and torture against eight victims during and after the protests that took place in Burundi following the president’s announcement that he intended to run for a third term in April 2015.
