IHRDA today rounded off a series of eight human rights trainings for law enforcement agencies in Gambia realized between October 2015 and March 2016.
The trainings took place in different regions of the Gambia with the last one held at Barra from 1st – 3rd March 2016.
All participants in the 8 trainings have been educated on international human rights standards and are equipped with a CD containing all relevant domestic and international human rights law. Meanwhile IHRDA is rounding off the production of a human rights manual for law enforcement agencies in the Gambia.
It should be noted that, in all, about 350 officers from the Gambia Police Force, Gambia Immigration Department, Gambia Prison Service and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have benefited from the trainings.
