A case filed by the Institute for Human Rights and Development in Africa (IHRDA), Alliance for Africa (AfA), the Nigerian Women Trust Fund and the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA) before ECOWAS Court of Justice on behalf of four women is attracting media attention.
These women were allegedly abuse verbally and physically by officers of the Abuja Environment Protection Board (AEPB). They are suiting for damages and seeking for a compensatory sum of 100,000,000 Naira.
