IHRDA on Friday 8 May 2015 briefed some 20 actors and stakeholders in the promotion of global human rights in the United States on the African human rights mechanisms.
The event took place at the headquarters of Open Society Justice Initiative (OSJI), Washington DC, USA. IHRDA’s Executive Director (Katherine Mulhern) and Director of Programs (Gaye Sowe) did a presentation on the African Human Rights System, with emphasis on the challenges and opportunities for human rights protection in Africa.
Participants were particularly delighted to learn about the African human rights system and the strides IHRDA has been making over the years.
