The African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACERWC) will hold a hearing to receive and consider arguments on the merit of the communication ‘Nubian Children in Kenya v Kenya’ filed by IHRDA in 2009. The hearing will be held on March 22 2011 during the 16th ACERWC Ordinary Session to be held in Addis Ababa from 21-25 March 2011.
The ACERWC admitted the communication during its 15th session in November 2010. This is the second communication under consideration by the ACERWC and the first to reach the merits stage.
